Tobogganing fun at Lake Achensee

Whether leisurely or sporty - tobogganing is fun for the whole family. Tobogganists can enjoy the various runs around Lake Achensee on racy runners. Of course, a proper toboggan run also includes a break in a cosy hut.

Zwölferkopf Pertisau

The longest run in the region can be found in Pertisau - on the Zwölferkopf. This natural toboggan run is characterised by winding sections, longer straight stretches and magnificent views of Lake Achensee. The ascent is either on foot or in comfort with the Karwendel-Bergbahn. And after a successful descent, you can enjoy a refreshment stop in the heated umbrella bar opposite the mountain railway. Bring your own toboggan - there is no toboggan hire on the mountain.

Rodlhütte Pertisau

The ascent to the Rodlhütte starts at the valley station of the Karwendel Bergbahn, which can be reached on foot in around 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can save yourself the climb and take the Rodelexpress (large tractor with trailer) and toboggan to the start. Once at the top, you can enjoy a fantastic view over Lake Achensee and enjoy a refreshment stop at the Rodlhütte.

Waldabfahrt Maurach

A winding forest descent awaits you in Maurach. You start not far from the Rofan cable car and after half an hour's walk you reach the starting point in a snow-covered forest landscape. The toboggan run is not very steep and is therefore suitable for families.

Christlum Achenkirch

The second longest toboggan run on Lake Achensee is located in Achenkirch and starts at the middle station of the Christlum high alpine lifts and can be reached on foot or by chairlift. Tip: Every Wednesday from the start of the season, the Christlum high alpine lifts organise a toboggan evening.

Steinberg am Rofan

The 800 metre long natural toboggan run in Steinberg am Rofan is particularly manageable. If you miss a bend, you land gently in a soft snow bank - that's all that happens. Parents can therefore stay relaxed and happily watch their children even on the tenth or eleventh descent.

Route 0.8 km - easy - floodlit

Wiesing Breitlahn

The railway starts directly at the Notburgaheim and the Kirchenwirt inn in Maurach. It winds its way down several hairpin bends through the forest to Wiesing. The route is easy and ideal for families.
